Career log (聚珍録)

This is a book you'll inevitably encounter when researching modern typography. This large-format, three-volume set (comprising typefaces, fonts, and kana) offers a compelling glimpse into modern printing techniques. While Japanese, it offers the most realistic insight into the history of typography and provides valuable insights into the distribution of typefaces. Beyond the written language, you can also see the types of drugs and typesetting structures used at the time. The distribution of Korean typefaces is also evident throughout the collection, with evidence of early Korean typefaces with distinct genealogies circulating independently, making for a fascinatingly fascinating experience.

During my graduate school years, when I was always hungry for information, I tried to borrow this book from the library, but they told me it wasn't available for general rental, and the process was cumbersome. So, I worked part-time at a moving company for a week to buy it. It was a book I held dear.
